A cab driver in Delhi was arrested for attempting to kidnap a 15-year-old girl from her school, according to the police. The incident took place on November 3 when the girl did not attend school and her father received a message about her absence. Suspecting foul play, her father tried to contact the cab driver but received no response, which raised his suspicions even further.
The police were informed about the cab driver’s location and discovered that he had dropped the girl near the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara and was about to flee. The police quickly arrived at the scene and apprehended the driver. During the investigation, it was revealed that the driver had intended to befriend the girl.
Previously, the girl used to travel to school in the cab driven by the accused. However, after she informed her father about his inappropriate behavior, he began dropping her off personally. On the day of the incident, the cab driver lured her into the vehicle under the pretense of apologizing and then attempted to flee with her. Fortunately, he was caught before he could escape.
The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
