Manish Sisodia Returns Home from Tihar Jail to Visit Ill Wife

Former Delhi deputy chief minister, Manish Sisodia, arrived at his residence on Mathura Road after being granted permission by a city court to meet his ailing wife. Sisodia, who is currently in jail for his alleged involvement in a liquor scam case, was allowed to spend six hours with his wife between 10 am and 4 pm.

Accompanied by police personnel, Sisodia arrived in a prison van at around 10 am. This is not the first time he has been granted permission to visit his wife, Seema, who suffers from multiple sclerosis. In June, the Delhi High Court had granted him permission, but he was unable to meet her as she was hospitalized due to a sudden deterioration in her condition.

While allowing the visit, the court instructed Sisodia not to engage with the media or participate in any political activities. Sisodia, a senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), previously served as the deputy chief minister and held various portfolios, including the Excise Department, in the Arvind Kejriwal government. He resigned from his positions after his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in February.

Despite his absence, Sisodia’s family continued to live at their official residence on Mathura Road, sharing it with Education Minister Atishi. The details of his release and visit were shared from a syndicated feed and have not been edited by NDTV staff.
