Florida Man Thinks He’s Smarter Than Highway Patrol
In a recent incident caught on a police pursuit dashcam video, a speeding suspect in Florida thought he could outsmart the Highway Patrol. However, his attempts were ultimately in vain as the trooper managed to apprehend him.
The chase began when the trooper spotted the speeder going in the opposite direction. Undeterred, the trooper crossed the median and initiated the pursuit. The suspect quickly pulled a U-turn, presumably hoping that this maneuver would help him escape.
Despite the suspect’s efforts to evade capture, such as turning off his lights and flashing his headlights to clear the left lane, the trooper easily caught up with him. The suspect’s desperate attempts to shake off the trooper were both laughable and dangerous, as he continued to hit his brakes and navigate through traffic.
At one point, the suspect deceived the trooper by feigning a left turn and then suddenly turning left as the trooper passed by. However, the trooper remained determined and used the car’s license plate number to identify the registered owner’s address.
To the trooper’s surprise, the suspect had been using his own car rather than a stolen vehicle. Despite momentarily escaping, the suspect’s own vehicle ultimately led to his downfall.
This incident serves as a reminder that attempting to outsmart law enforcement is never a wise decision. The trooper’s persistence and use of available resources led to the successful apprehension of the suspect.
