Gemini AI Now Available in Emails, Documents, and Spreadsheets for 22 Euros per Month

In a highly anticipated announcement for Google Workspace users, Google has declared that it is broadening the capabilities of its sophisticated artificial intelligence system, Gemini. This expansion will encapsulate the entire Workspace suite, extending to Google Docs, Presentations, Google Sheets, and Google Meet. The update was made public through a post on Google’s official blog. The blog post revealed that users of the Google One AI Premium Plan would now have wider access to Gemini features. Previously, this access was restricted to Photos, Meet, and Calendar. Google’s Esteban Kozak expressed the company’s desire to make the capabilities of Gemini more accessible within the Google products that users already utilize. The purpose of this expansion is to enhance user productivity by eliminating the need to switch between tabs or apps. Gemini’s primary objective is to diminish the time users have to invest in routine tasks by automating various preliminary tasks. For instance, it can automatically prepare a travel itinerary before a user even begins to work on a document, thus increasing efficiency.

The deployment of Gemini features in Gmail, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, and Google Meet commences today for AI Premium Plan members. This rollout will extend to over 150 countries and will be available in English. AI Premium members will also gain access to Gemini Advanced, 2TB of storage, and other exclusive Google One benefits. The cost of these services will be €21.99 per month. In terms of data security, Google has assured users that the data generated during work will not be exploited to train Gemini. Esteban Kozak further clarified, stating, “We do not use your personal or business Workspace data to train or improve the generative artificial intelligence and large language models that power other systems outside of Workspace without permission.”
