Grubhub Customer Alleges Receiving Urine-Filled Cup Instead of Milkshake in the US

A man in the US was shocked and disgusted when he received a cup of urine instead of the milkshake he ordered. Caleb Woods from Utah used the food delivery app GrubHub to order fries and a milkshake from Chick-fil-A. Upon delivery, he took a sip of his milkshake and realized that he had just consumed urine.

“When I started eating my meal, I put a straw in my cup and took a sip. I soon discovered that the cup delivered to me from the GrubHub driver was a warm cup of urine,” said Mr. Woods.

He immediately called the driver back to his house and confronted him about the incident. The driver admitted to confusing two Styrofoam cups in his vehicle and explained that he works long hours without taking bathroom breaks, so he relieves himself in his car using disposable cups.

Disgusted by the situation, Mr. Woods reached out to Grubhub for a refund. However, it took the company four days to respond, and even then, they only refunded the actual cost of the food, omitting the delivery fee and tip that Mr. Woods had given.

In response to the incident, Grubhub issued a statement stating that they had terminated their contract with the delivery worker.

This incident comes after a woman in the US filed a lawsuit against Ritz Carlton for a similar incident. Last year in November, during a four-night stay at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, the woman claimed that a male hotel employee served her a bottle of water that she believed contained semen. She alleged that she was “sexually assaulted and exploited” by the hotel staffer.

These incidents highlight the need for strict quality control and accountability in the food and hospitality industry. Customers should be able to trust that the food and beverages they receive are safe and free from any contaminants.
