A murder suspect from Indiana was involved in a high-speed police chase in Georgia. The suspect, who was being pursued by Georgia State Police, was driving a new Ram 1500 Rebel and was determined to use the full capabilities of the truck to escape. Troopers attempted to disable the truck by pitting it, but the heavy and durable nature of the vehicle prevented it from being disabled. As the chase continued, the suspect decided to drive in the grassy median of the highway, taking advantage of the heavy traffic to keep moving forward. However, the rough terrain caused the truck to catch some air multiple times, putting the suspect at risk of crashing. The video footage also revealed that some drivers failed to yield to the emergency vehicle, highlighting the issue of left lane camping. In a daring move, the suspect even drove into oncoming traffic, relying on the size of the truck for protection. However, his reckless actions eventually led to a collision at an intersection, disabling the Ram. The suspect was apprehended by troopers shortly after.
