Hulk Hogan’s Son Arrested for DUI in Florida City, Revisiting Troubling Past Following Car Crash 16 Years Ago

Hulk Hogan’s son, Nicholas Bollea, has been arrested in Clearwater, Florida for driving under the influence. This incident occurred in the same city where Bollea was previously arrested 16 years ago for a car crash that critically injured a passenger.

According to an arrest affidavit, Bollea, 33, was pulled over by a sergeant on Gulf to Bay Boulevard after failing to move over a lane for three patrol vehicles conducting a traffic stop. The sergeant reported that Bollea showed signs of impairment and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Bollea also refused to take a breath alcohol content test, had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, and exhibited unsteady balance.

The arrest took place on Saturday morning at 1:42 a.m. Bollea was charged with a misdemeanor for driving under the influence and refusing to take the BAC test. He was released later that evening after posting a $500 bond, as stated in online records.

Interestingly, Bollea’s father owns a bar in Clearwater called “Hogan’s Hangout.”

This is not the first time Bollea has been involved in a car crash in Clearwater. In August 2007, he was also implicated in a serious accident that critically injured a passenger named John Graziano. Investigators determined that Bollea was driving recklessly, and witnesses reported seeing two cars racing each other before one collided with a tree. Graziano, a veteran, suffered severe brain injuries and was placed on life support following the crash.

In 2008, Bollea turned himself in and entered a plea of no contest to a charge of reckless driving with serious bodily harm. He was subsequently sentenced to eight months in jail.
