Title: Israel Discovers Weapons and Explosives Hidden by Hamas in Kindergarten
Israel’s military forces operating in the Gaza Strip have reportedly uncovered a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosive devices inside a kindergarten. According to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), the school was being exploited by Hamas for weapon storage.
In a video shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the IDF showcased the findings, stating, “IDF troops found weapons, ammunition, and explosive devices inside a Gazan kindergarten while operating in northern Gaza. Explosives. Inside a kindergarten.”
The IDF further reported that troops have seized numerous weapons and gathered vital intelligence on significant Hamas battle plans from residential areas in North Gaza. Additionally, soldiers discovered tunnel shafts, including one connected to a kindergarten, which the IDF believes is part of an extensive underground network.
Amidst international appeals for a ceasefire in Gaza, Israel has firmly rejected such calls, asserting that it will continue its military operations until Hamas is dismantled. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also dismissed the possibility of the Palestinian authority regaining control over Gaza once the conflict concludes.
Israel maintains that rocket attacks from Gaza into southern Israel persist, with Hamas allegedly responsible for the deaths of approximately 1,200 people and the hostage-taking of over 200 individuals last month.
Palestinian officials, on the other hand, claim that since October 7, air and artillery strikes have killed 11,078 residents in Gaza, with around 40% of the casualties being children.
