Former attorney for Donald Trump, Jenna Ellis, has faced backlash from her former boss and his allies after she agreed to testify against him in the Fulton County case. Ellis struck a plea deal in October, which led to her being attacked by Trump ally Laura Loomer on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Loomer referred to Ellis as a “waste of space” and a “fake Christian.” In response, Ellis fired back, highlighting issues within the Trump family, including Donald Trump Jr.’s divorce and his girlfriend’s divorce from Gavin Newsom, as well as his alleged affair with a porn star while his third wife was pregnant.
Ellis defended herself, claiming that everything she mentioned in her tweet was true, even before she agreed to the plea deal. The leaked video of Ellis’s testimony revealed damaging information she provided to the Fulton County investigators. She recounted a conversation with senior Trump aide Dan Scavino during the 2020 White House Christmas party, where he allegedly stated that Trump intended to stay in office despite losing the election and multiple failed attempts to challenge the results in court.
Donald Trump has been charged with felony racketeering in Georgia for his efforts to overturn the state’s 2020 election results. He has pleaded not guilty to all 13 charges, with a significant part of his defense relying on his belief that he had won the election and was acting based on legal advice. However, Ellis’s testimony could potentially undermine his defense.
