Julius Nättinen Climbs to Top of HIFK’s Goalscoring Chart as Jukurit Falls by Wide Margin

Hearts had a few missed opportunities on Friday evening at the Helsinki IFK camp. IFK’s top scorer, Julius Nättinen, made his 18th hit of the season during the match against Mikkeli’s team.

Patrik Puistola from Jukurien managed to seize Nättinen during the game, causing him to fall onto the ice. Despite the hit, Nättinen returned to the beginning of the final set and reported feeling “very good” after the match.

IFK had a reason to celebrate as their 6–2 away win extended their winning streak to four matches, matching the season’s record. Unfortunately for Jukurs, this marked their fourth consecutive loss.

Nättinen scored IFK’s opening goal after just over five minutes of play. Nättinen also scored his second power point of the night with Marleau’s 0–2 hit. His performance in this match brought his total points in four Jukurit matches this season to 4+2=6.

Ville Peltonen and Olli Jokinen, who both belong to the elite of Suomi-kieko, met each other for the 12th and last time as head coaches in the regular season of the League. This season, Peltonen’s IFK, which had larger resources, finally won three out of four matches against Jokinen’s Jukurei, with the points going to IFK 7–5.

IFK’s next match will be on Saturday as a guest of Tappara in Tampere. “We want as many points as possible now, so that we can still rise in the regular season. We aim to play the best possible game and take the first victory in the Nokia Arena,” said Nättinen.
