Man Causes House to Explode in US Arlington While Attempting to Scare Off Police with Flare Gun

A suspect in the US fired a flare gun at the police executing a search warrant, causing a massive explosion in the Bluemont neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia. Residents were instructed to stay indoors by the local government. The Arlington County police stated that the suspect discharged several rounds inside the home before the explosion occurred. They are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Fortunately, there were only minor injuries reported among the officers at the scene, and no one was transported to the hospital. The flames and smoke from the explosion were visible from miles away. A neighbor mentioned that the entire duplex was destroyed, but the family next door had been evacuated prior to the blast.
