The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health released the certificate, which revealed that Perry passed away at 4:17 p.m. on October 28. However, the cause of death is still pending the results of toxicology reports. Initially, it was reported that Perry died from accidental drowning, but further investigations are required to determine the exact cause. Although an autopsy had been conducted, the certificate did not contain any new information.
Perry, who openly struggled with substance abuse and alcoholism, was known to be sober and in good spirits before his death, as confirmed by those close to him. His funeral took place on November 3 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, and was attended by his “Friends” co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc. The cast, known for their close bond on and off-screen, released a joint statement expressing their profound devastation over Perry’s passing.
