After the hill section, Heta Hirvonen and Minja Korhonen were positioned fourth.
In Finland, Heta Hirvonen and Minja Korhonen secured the fourth position in the combined pair sprint at the under-18 World Championships.
Starting the skiing section in fourth place, 22 seconds behind the leader, Hirvonen and Korhonen each skied the 1.5 kilometer section thrice.
Japan claimed victory in the world championship, followed by the United States winning silver and Austria securing the bronze.
Finland missed out on a medal in the last legs when Austria’s Laura Pletz and Anna-Sophia Gredler overtook the Finns.
The World Championships are being held in Planica. Minja Korhonen clinched the individual competition world championship on Friday.

Earlier on Saturday, the under-23-year-old 10 km competitions took place. Hilla Niemelä led the women’s category by securing the seventh position. Siiri Kaijansinkko was 23rd, followed by Fanny Kukonlehto at 24th and Vilma Ryytty at 32nd.
Among the men under 23, Emil Liekari was the best performing Finn, securing the 18th position. Olli-Pekka Laitila was positioned at 20th.
