Officials Confirm Gujarat Boy Fatally Attacked by Monkey, Intestines Brutally Injured

A 10-year-old boy in Gujarat, India, was tragically killed in a horrific monkey attack. The incident occurred in Salki village in Gandhinagar on Tuesday. According to officials, the boy, identified as Dipak Thakor, was playing with his friends when a group of monkeys attacked him near a temple in Dehgam Taluka.

The monkeys viciously attacked Dipak, tearing into his stomach and ripping out his intestines. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, the young boy tragically passed away before medical help could be administered.

This is not the first time such an incident has occurred in the village. Forest officials revealed that this was the third monkey attack within a week. In an effort to control the situation, the officials had already rescued two langurs and set up cages to capture another one. The village is home to a large troop of monkeys, including four adults that have been involved in previous attacks.

Forest official Vishal Chaudhary mentioned that they used a drone to locate the attacking monkey. They then tranquilized it with darts and safely captured it in a cage.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of residents in the area, as repeated monkey attacks pose a significant threat. Efforts are being made to address this issue and ensure the safety of the villagers.
