Massive Protest Erupts Outside Rajasthan Police Station After 4-Year-Old Girl is Raped by Cop
A massive protest has erupted outside a police station in Dausa district, Rajasthan, following the alleged rape of a four-year-old girl by a police officer. Villagers gathered in large numbers outside the police station and took matters into their own hands by beating up the sub-inspector accused of the crime.
The accused, Sub-inspector Bhupendra Singh, who was on election duty at the time, allegedly lured the girl into his room and raped her. He has since been arrested and is currently under investigation, according to Assistant Superintendent of Police Bajrang Singh.
“A case has been registered at Rahuwas police station against SI Bhupendra based on a complaint filed by a nearby family. They have accused him of rape. A medical examination of the minor girl is being conducted, and appropriate action will be taken,” stated Mr. Singh.
As news of the incident spread, angry villagers gathered outside the Rahuwas police station, shouting slogans against the police. They took matters into their own hands and assaulted Bhupendra Singh before handing him over to the authorities.
BJP MP Kirodi Lal Meena, who visited the scene, expressed his outrage over the incident, saying, “There is immense anger among the people over the rape of a seven-year-old Dalit girl by a policeman in Lalsot. I have come here to seek justice for the innocent child.”
In a tweet, Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena criticized the Ashok Gehlot government for its lack of action, stating, “The incident of sexual assault on a seven-year-old Dalit girl by a police officer in Lalsot has sparked immense outrage among the people. I have arrived at the scene to ensure justice for the innocent victim. The police, under the negligent government of Ashok Gehlot, have failed to handle sensitive situations like elections properly.”
Furthermore, the BJP MP announced a compensation of Rs 50 lakh for the victim’s family, emphasizing that justice for the girl is his top priority. “I am here to support the girl. The sub-inspector has been arrested. Elections come later for me; my first priority is to ensure justice for the family. This is a shameful incident,” said Mr. Meena.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage and demands for justice, as the community stands united in seeking punishment for the perpetrator and support for the victim and her family.
