Rajasthan BJP Leader Sandeep Dayma Faces Party Expulsion for Controversial Comments on Gurdwaras

The Rajasthan unit leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been expelled from the party due to his controversial remarks about Gurdwaras, which has caused dissatisfaction among party leaders in Punjab. Several leaders, including senior BJP leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, have called for his expulsion.

Onkar Singh Lakhawat, the chairman of the Rajasthan BJP’s disciplinary committee, stated that Sandeep Dayma has been expelled from the party as per the direction of the state president for making a statement against the party’s ideology.

During an election rally in Alwar, Rajasthan, Sandeep Dayma made a statement saying, “See how many mosques, Gurdwaras have been built here! This will become an ulcer for us in the future. That is why it is our duty that this ulcer be uprooted and thrown out.” Mr. Dayma has since apologized for his remarks, but this has not satisfied the leaders in Punjab.

Sunil Jakhar, the chief of the Punjab BJP unit, stated that the outburst of the Rajasthan leader against religious sentiments cannot be condoned, while Amarinder Singh called for strict action against Sandeep Dayma. Amarinder Singh urged the BJP high command to immediately expel Dayma from the party for his hate remarks against mosques and Gurdwaras.

Jai Inder Kaur, the women’s wing chief of the Punjab BJP, has filed a complaint with the Chandigarh police against Sandeep Dayma. He stated that the Rajasthan leader’s remarks have caused hurt to people’s religious sentiments and that he has informed the central leadership about the situation.

The BJP’s decision to expel Sandeep Dayma has sparked a response from various leaders and has led to a complaint being filed against him. The party awaits further response and actions regarding this incident.
