Record-Breaking Tidal Wave for Les Enfoirés on TF1 Sets Yearly Record

On Friday, March 1st, the Enfoirés concert found its audience amidst the economic crisis and food inflation. The concert, recorded in Bordeaux in January, was attended by artists such as Gaëtan Roussel, Ycare, Santa, Claudia Tagbo, and newcomers. Legacy artists like Coluche, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Johnny Hallyday, Maurane, Charles Aznavour, Mimie Mathy, Éric Cantona, Catherine Deneuve, Kylian Mbappé, and Jane Birkin were also present. According to Médiamétrie, the concert, called “We are 35 years old”, was watched by over 8.5 million people on TF 1.

This accounts for 43.2% of the television viewership. Even after midnight, the concert retained an audience of 6.81 million people, or 53.1% audience share, averaging 7.66 million music lovers throughout the evening and a 48.2% market share. This is the best audience since the beginning of the year, making this program the most-watched entertainment of the year. Significantly, the show highlighted the association’s struggles, with a warning that without action, the Restaurants could close within three years.

In the face of this popular event, other shows naturally had lower viewership. France 2’s rerun of an “Little Murders of Agatha Christie” episode drew 2.14 million viewers or a 10.9% share of hearing. M 6 aired the comedy “With open arms”, played by Christian Clavier and Ary Abittan, entertaining 1.04 million fans (5.3% PDA).

Other channels had less than a million viewers: France 3’s documentary on the golden age of advertising attracted little over 740,000 viewers (4% PDA). C8’s “Le Sang de la vigne” had around 650,000 viewers (3.4% PDA), and Gulli’s “A Cop in Kindergarten” had a viewership of 610,000 (3.2% PDA).

Arte aired “À la joie”, a comedy about romantic encounters during lockdown that won three awards at the La Rochelle Fiction Festival, and attracted around 600,000 viewers. The film by Jérôme Bonnell can be viewed on the Franco-German channel’s free platform until May 29.
