Revanth Reddy Set to Sworn In as Telangana Chief Minister Alongside 12 Ministers

Anumula Revanth Reddy, the President of Telangana Congress, is set to be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Telangana today in a lavish ceremony at Hyderabad’s LB Stadium. Alongside him, twelve ministers will also take the oath of office.

The ministers who will be taking the oath with Revanth Reddy are Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Damodar Rajanarasimha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Dana Anasuya, Tummala Nageswar Rao, Konda Surekha, Jupally Krishna Rao, and Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who has been appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana.

Revanth Reddy, also known as ‘Tiger Revanth’ among his supporters, was instrumental in leading the Congress party to victory against K Chandrashekar Rao, the leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), bringing the Congress to power for the first time since Telangana’s formation in 2014.

The grand oath-taking ceremony is expected to be attended by prominent Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi. Approximately one lakh people are also expected to be present at the event.

Revanth Reddy contested from two seats, Kamareddy and Kodangal, in the assembly elections. Although he lost to BJP’s Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy in the Kamareddy seat, he emerged victorious in the Kodangal seat.

In addition to the Congress leaders, former Telangana Chief Minister KCR, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu have also been invited to attend the grand ceremony.

The Congress party is celebrating its victory in Telangana, and the swearing-in ceremony marks a significant moment for the party. Congress leaders from various states are expected to join the event to show their support and solidarity.
