The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has released a report stating that, as of the 717th day of the war on February 10, 2024, Russian military aggression on Ukrainian territory has resulted in at least 526 child casualties and 1,218 minors being wounded. These figures provide a stark illustration of the profound and devastating impact of the conflict on young lives.

Only a day prior to this report, the Russian attack on Kharkov led to the tragic loss of at least seven lives, including three children. The innocent victims of this assault were a six-month-old infant and two other children aged four and seven. This incident is a chilling reminder of the indiscriminate nature of the violence and its far-reaching consequences for the most vulnerable among us.

The report further detailed the geographical breakdown of child casualties. According to the data provided, the hardest hit regions were Donetsk with 509 casualties, Kharkov with 331, Kherson with 146, Kiev with 130, Dnepropetrovsk with 111, Nikolaev with 101, Zaporozhye with 100, Chernihiv with 72, and Lugansk with 67.
