Samsung has officially released its new affordable earbuds, the Galaxy Buds FE. The buds are available in graphite and white for $100 starting from October 5. These new buds feature a single 12mm driver, three mics on each earbud, and active noise canceling. They come with a charging case that is the same size and shape as the ones that come with Samsung’s latest Galaxy Buds. The Galaxy Buds FE resemble an updated version of Samsung’s discontinued Galaxy Buds Plus earbuds and also have swappable fins for a secure and comfortable fit. They are sweat-resistant with an IPX2 water-resistance rating.
The Galaxy Buds FE have a battery life of up to six hours with noise canceling on and eight-and-a-half hours with it off. This is slightly less than the battery life of the Galaxy Buds Plus, which were rated for up to 11 hours. While we haven’t tested the new buds yet, a full review will be posted after testing.
The Galaxy Buds FE are priced at $100, making them Samsung’s most affordable earbuds. It is possible that they may be discounted during the holiday buying season. While they may not have the same sound quality as the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, the integrated fins of the Galaxy Buds FE should appeal to those looking for a secure and comfortable fit.
In addition to the Galaxy Buds FE, Samsung also unveiled other new devices in its more affordable “Fan Edition” line, including the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Tab S9, and Tab S9 Plus FE.
