An 18-year-old man was brutally stabbed multiple times on a street in New Delhi on Tuesday night. The disturbing incident was captured on security footage, where a younger boy can be seen dancing next to the victim’s body. The horrifying attack took place in the Welcome area of northeast Delhi and was allegedly motivated by robbery, with reports suggesting that the attacker stabbed the victim over 60 times.
According to the police, the accused first strangled the victim, rendering him unconscious, before repeatedly stabbing him. The motive behind the murder was believed to be robbery, as the accused allegedly tried to rob the victim, who resisted and was subsequently attacked. The two individuals did not appear to know each other prior to the incident.
CCTV cameras recorded the accused dragging the lifeless body into a narrow alleyway. He then continued to stab the victim in the neck to ensure his demise. In a disturbing act, the attacker proceeded to kick the victim’s head multiple times before standing over the body and dancing. The entire macabre scene was captured on camera.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey provided further details, stating that a PCR call was received around 11:15 pm alerting them to the incident in Janta Mazdoor colony. The victim was immediately rushed to a hospital, but unfortunately, he was declared dead upon arrival. The police are currently analyzing the CCTV footage, and a forensic team has visited the crime scene to gather evidence.
