Sourav Ganguly Expresses Reservations: India’s Bowling Attack Falls Short of Being the Best-Ever

India’s former cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has dismissed claims that the current Indian pace attack is the best ever. Ganguly compared the current trio of Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah to the bowling attack of the 2003 World Cup, which included Ashish Nehra, Zaheer Khan, and Javagal Srinath. Ganguly acknowledged that the current attack is exciting to watch, but stated that the 2003 attack also bowled brilliantly. He emphasized the impact that Bumrah has on the other two bowlers. Ganguly also agreed that Shami should have been included in the team from the beginning of the tournament, considering the impact he has made. India, who are unbeaten in all eight of their matches so far, will face the Netherlands in their final league stage match of the World Cup on Sunday.
