Southern California Restaurant Shooting: Teen Arrested for Injuring 4 in Recent Incident

A 15-year-old boy has been apprehended by the Chula Vista Police Department in connection with a shooting incident that left four individuals injured inside a restaurant located south of San Diego last month. The arrest took place on Friday evening, as per a press release issued by the Chula Vista Police Department on Saturday. Due to the suspect’s age, no further details regarding his identity have been released at this time.

The incident occurred on October 28 at NOVO Brazil in Chula Vista, causing chaos within the establishment and sparking concerns of an active shooter on the loose in the Otay Ranch Town Center. Consequently, the mall was placed on lockdown by the police.

During the initial investigation, authorities stated that the shooting was believed to have stemmed from a dispute between two groups of individuals. However, the recent press release regarding the arrest did not provide any additional information for public disclosure.

The victims of the shooting included a 16-year-old boy who sustained leg injuries, allegedly due to his involvement in the initial dispute. Additionally, two bystanders, a 58-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman, were also wounded, along with a 21-year-old woman who suffered a graze wound. Fortunately, none of the injuries were life-threatening.

Chula Vista, situated approximately 10 miles (16 kilometers) south of San Diego, was the location where this unfortunate incident took place.
