The Honda Prelude Concept has made a surprise appearance at the LA Auto Show, just weeks after it was revealed at the Japan Mobility Show. Honda’s VP of Auto Planning and Strategy in America, Gary Robinson, expressed his satisfaction with Honda’s hybrid-electric models, stating that they now make up one-quarter of Honda sales in 2023. Robinson also highlighted that displaying the hybrid Prelude Concept at the auto show demonstrates Honda’s electrification strategy in a sporty and dynamic package.
Although Honda has not provided any new information about the Prelude, its presence in the US suggests that the company is testing the waters and evaluating the response to the car in America. The basic details of the Prelude Concept remain the same, with Honda describing it as a hybrid-electric vehicle designed to enhance the joy of driving in the electrified future.
For those interested in seeing the Prelude Concept in person, it can be viewed at the LA Auto Show at the Los Angeles Convention Center until November 26. In-person photos of the car will be updated on the show floor, so be sure to check back later for live shots.
