A man from Maharashtra’s Thane district has been accused of killing his 55-year-old mother following an argument over her failure to serve him tasty food, according to the police. The incident occurred on Sunday evening in Velu village, Murbad taluka. The mother and son had a history of frequent disputes over domestic matters. On Sunday, the man once again quarreled with his mother, expressing his dissatisfaction with the food she had prepared. In a fit of rage, he attacked her with a sickle, resulting in her death. Local residents notified the police, who arrived at the scene and transported the body to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. Following the incident, the accused allegedly consumed an excessive amount of sleeping pills. He was admitted to the hospital by his relatives and has not yet been apprehended.
