The Helsinki Stock Exchange Starts New Week on a Low Note

The Helsinki Stock Exchange commenced trading on a bearish note on Monday. The overall index fell by 0.3 percent settling at 9856.82 points within the first 15 minutes of trading.

The most heavily traded stock in the morning session was the fuel company, In this, which saw a decrease of 0.9 percent in its share price, dropping to 26.68 euros. The majority of the twelve most traded stocks also experienced a downward trend.

However, the electronic contract manufacturer, unable, who had released their results the previous week, saw a 2.1 percent increase in share price to 8.77 euros. Pharmaceutical company, Orion, on the other hand, saw its A share fall by 2.1 percent to 37.65 euros.

In other news, the information security company, SSH Communications Securityn, announced the resignation of its Managing Director, Teemu Tunkelo. He will be replaced by Rami Raulasen who has been with the company since 2016 and has been a part of the management team since 2021. Following this announcement, SSH’s share price increased by 6.8 percent, settling at 1.49 euros.

Meanwhile, Anna Herlin, a board member of Sanoman, increased her shares in the company by 20,000 last week. The shares were purchased at an average price of around 6.7 euros, amounting to a total investment of over 130,000 euros. As of the last review, Sanoma’s share price stood at 6.69 euros.

Industrial services and maintenance provider, Viafin Service, and medical company, BBS-Bioactive Bone Substitutes, also released their results on Monday. Viafin’s turnover for the second half of the year fell from 48.5 million euros to 37.6 million euros compared to the same period the previous year. Their operating profit also fell to 2.9 million euros from 3.3 million euros.

Despite this, Viafin’s shares saw an increase of 4.6 percent settling at 13.80 euros after a brief period of trading. The board of the company also proposed a dividend of 0.55 euros per share for 2022, a slight increase from the previous year’s dividend of 0.45 euros per share.

The results for BBS were not yet published at the time of the review.

In terms of stock recommendations, Inderes reduced its recommendation for Norrhydron from an increase to a decrease level, dropping the target price to 1.80 euros. The firm also raised Nyabin to a reduce level from a sell level, maintaining the target price of 0.45 euros.

Inderes reduced Modulight‘s target price from 1.20 euros to 0.90 euros, maintaining a reduce recommendation. On the other hand, OP reduced Modulight’s target price from 2.60 euros to 2.50 euros but maintained a buy recommendation.
