The Plan Was Unveiled: Suryakumar Yadav Discloses Death-Over Tactics Against Australia In 4th T20I

India’s skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, revealed the death-over strategy that led to their victory against Australia in the fourth T20I match. After the game at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Friday, Suryakumar praised his team for their character and fearless performance.

During the post-match presentation, Suryakumar shared that he had asked the players to be fearless in the game during the team meeting. He also commended Axar Patel for his unbelievable bowling performance. Suryakumar said, “Other than toss, everything (went well). Boys showed character and that was most important for us. We spoke in the meeting before the game to go out and express yourself and be fearless. I always love putting Axar under pressure and the way he bowled was unbelievable. The plan (during the death overs) was to go for the yorkers and then see what happens.”

Recapping the match, Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma played a solid partnership, scoring 66 runs in the first inning to help India reach a total of 174 runs. Ben Dwarshuis led the Australian bowling attack, taking three wickets.

In the run chase, Australian captain Matthew Wade was the only standout batter for the away side, scoring 36 runs, but he couldn’t secure a victory for his team. Axar Patel, who took three wickets and conceded only 16 runs, was named the Player of the Match. Deepak Chahar also contributed with two wickets, helping India secure their third win of the series.

Overall, India’s victory showcased their character and fearless approach to the game. The team’s strategy of going for yorkers during the death overs proved effective against Australia.
