Chennai Police File Case Against TV Journalist for Filming and Harassing Women Leaving Bar
The Chennai Police have taken legal action against a TV journalist from News Tamil 24×7 and others following their alleged involvement in the sexual harassment of women at a bar during the early hours of Monday. According to reports, the women leaving the bar were not only filmed without their consent but also subjected to abuse and obscene comments. The footage, which was later broadcasted by several TV channels, triggered widespread outrage on social media.
The charges filed against the accused include sexual harassment, explicit sexual behavior, wrongful restraint, unlawful assembly, singing obscene songs, and intent to insult a woman’s modesty. The police have confirmed that they are currently investigating the matter.

According to investigators, the trouble began when five individuals who were denied entry into a private bar due to the bar’s closing time, created a commotion. Upon hearing about the situation, the accused, Sudharsan, and others arrived at the scene.
Neither News Tamil 24×7 nor journalist Sudharshan has yet responded to the allegations or the charges brought against them by the police. The public awaits their response as this incident continues to gain attention and concern.
