Today, Vodafone made an announcement via its official webpage, “Vodafone Informa”. The announcement pertains to the initiation of new unilateral remodulations for certain fixed line contracts. The specifics of the offers that will be affected by these remodulations have not yet been communicated by Vodafone. However, there is clarity on the fact that these changes will lead to an upward adjustment in the monthly tariffs. The increase is expected to be within the range of an additional 2 to 3 euros per month.
Vodafone, which faced some network issues today, justifies these increases as necessary measures to continue with the investment in network and to effectively respond to the emerging traffic requirements. For customers whose contracts will be subjected to unilateral renegotiation, Vodafone offers the option to reject the remodulation. In such a case, the customers will be allowed to withdraw from the contract without incurring any additional costs. However, the withdrawal needs to be communicated to Vodafone within 60 days of receiving the communication from the company.
As per Vodafone, customers who will be affected by the rate increase will be notified through a communication included in their invoice. This communication will also mention the minimum withdrawal period of 60 days. To exercise the right of withdrawal, Vodafone customers can choose from several channels: the official Vodafone website, the physical stores of the operator, sending a registered letter with return receipt to the Vodafone Customer Service address, sending a PEC to the customerservice address@ vodafone.pec.it, or by dialing 190. It is important to mention the reason for withdrawal while communicating the same.
