Married Rajasthan Woman Anju, Who Traveled to Pakistan to Wed Facebook Friend Nasrullah, Finally Reunites with Family in India

An Indian woman named Anju, who had traveled to Pakistan to meet her Facebook friend and subsequently married him, has returned to India. She entered India through the Attari-Wagha border late last night. However, she has not yet reached her hometown in Rajasthan. When asked why she is back in the country, Anju, who was walking fast with a mask covering her face, simply said, “I am happy. I have nothing else to say.”

Anju, a resident of Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, was previously married to a man named Arvind, and they have a 15-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter. In 2019, she met a man named Nasrullah on Facebook, and the two of them fell in love. In June, she left for Pakistan to meet Nasrullah without informing her family.

Anju’s husband Arvind revealed to the media that she had left home, saying she was going to Jaipur. It was only later that the family discovered she was actually in Pakistan. While in Pakistan, Anju converted to Islam and changed her name to Fatima in order to marry Nasrullah.

Shortly after their wedding, reports emerged about Anju’s deteriorating mental health. She was reportedly missing her children and expressed a desire to return home to meet them. Anju allegedly discussed her plans to return to India with Nasrullah, but she encountered difficulties with her visa, which prevented her from traveling earlier. Although she was initially scheduled to return in October, she was unable to obtain a visa at that time.

It is currently unknown where Arvind resides with their two children, and he could not be reached for comment.
