Indian Comedian Vir Das Wins First International Emmy for “Vir Das: Landing”
Vir Das, the popular Indian actor-comedian, has achieved a major milestone in his career by winning his first-ever International Emmy. The prestigious award was presented to him at the International Emmy Awards ceremony held in New York. Vir Das was nominated for his Netflix special “Vir Das: Landing” in the Comedy category. This was his second nomination for an International Emmy, and he shared the prize with “Derry Girls – Season 3”.
After the exciting win, Vir Das took to Instagram to express his gratitude. He shared a photo with his trophy and wrote, “For India. For Indian comedy. Every breath, every word. Thank you to the International Emmy Awards for this incredible honor.”
