A Tesla driver in California lost control of her car and crashed into a home after flying over a swimming pool. The incident occurred in the area of Murphy and Ashwood Drives, and the San Mateo police were called to the scene. Miraculously, no one was injured in the crash.
The San Mateo Police Department shared images of the crash on Facebook, expressing relief that no one was hurt. The driver, a 70-year-old woman, and her 40-year-old daughter, who was in the passenger seat, remained at the scene and were unharmed. The home that was hit was unoccupied at the time of the accident.
According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to drive over a curb, through a neighbor’s driveway, and through a fence separating the properties. The Tesla then flew over a swimming pool for about 40 to 50 feet before crashing into the home’s kitchen.
The collision caused significant damage to the wall of the house. As a result, the home has been red-tagged for inspection to assess any structural damage. The police have not made any arrests, and there is no evidence to suggest that the driver was under the influence. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
