Israel has released security camera footage that it claims shows hostages being brought into Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City after being kidnapped in the Hamas attacks on southern Israel on October 7. The footage, which was shared by Israel’s military, shows a man being brought in on a gurney by several armed individuals, as well as another person being forcibly dragged into a building resembling a hospital.
The authenticity of the footage has not been verified by AFP. However, the military spokesman, Daniel Hagari, stated, “Here you can see Hamas taking a hostage inside… they’re taking him inside the hospital.” He also mentioned that the male hostages were from Nepal and Thailand and that their whereabouts are currently unknown.
The footage appears to be time-stamped on the same day as the Hamas attack, which resulted in the death of around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and the abduction of approximately 240 others, according to Israeli authorities. The military and intelligence services have stated that these findings prove that the Hamas terrorist organization used the Shifa hospital complex as a terrorist infrastructure during the attack.
