The accomplished skier, Krista Pärmäkoski, who is a 12-time medalist, shared a cryptic video on her social media platform on Monday evening.

She informed her followers on the story section of her Instagram account that they should anticipate some news.

Pärmäkoski said in her video, “I was asked last Saturday in Vantaa at the SC skiing event about my future plans. I have made a few decisions, but I have refrained from sharing them. However, now that I am not participating in the World Cup games in North America, I thought it would be the right time to share.”

She uploaded the video on Monday evening, thus implying that the revelations will be made on the following day, Tuesday.

Pärmäkoski added in her Monday video, “I understand that it’s annoying for many of you when I say ‘tomorrow,’ and I myself don’t prefer it either – but these are major decisions. Hence, I want to present them in a structured manner. We will discuss this further tomorrow.”

She mentioned that the purpose of creating the video was to compel herself to make the announcement on Tuesday.

The celebrated skier, Pärmäkoski, turned 33 last December. She bagged her first esteemed medal at the World Championships in the pair sprint (p) held in Oslo in 2011. Her most recent achievement was in the 10 km (p) race at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2022.

Over the course of her career, she has won a total of five medals in the Olympic Games and seven at the World Championships.

In the 20 km race of the SC skis held on Saturday in Vantaa, she secured the second position.
