“Precious Waste” in Rome Transforms Recycling and Waste into Unique Fashion Pieces

The concept of ‘Precious Waste: a transformation journey’, is an innovative idea that revolves around the recycling and ‘recreation’ of primarily electronic waste. This includes items such as earphones, electrical cables, and disused computer keyboards. The inspiration for this unique design process is derived from unused material that is creatively transformed into a work of art. This concept is brought to life in an exhibition and workshop by the ByLUDO brand, which was founded by Ludovica Cirillo for Anthea Studio. The event is scheduled to take place from tomorrow until 2 March, at Via Girolamo Savonarola.

The exhibition, which was inaugurated in Tokyo last November at the Jinny Street Gallery, will be presenting a retrospective of the ByLUDO design collections for the first time in Rome. These unique pieces have been reconfigured into wearable objects. In ‘Precious Waste’, each collection will be presented as unused material that has been artistically reworked into a piece of jewellery and reinterpreted photographically. The visitor’s journey through the new Anthea Studio space will be an educational one, as they will be able to visualize all the components and their transformation. This process showcases the creative possibilities and artistic expressions that can be achieved through the act of reuse.

For the first time ever, ByLudo will be conducting a Recycling Workshop on 2 March from 11am to 1pm. Here, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to customize two ByLudo creations. They will also be informed about the history and evolution of the brand and get to understand how to use technological recycled materials.
