This news was first reported by the Dutch newspaper, The Telegraph. The report alleges that there have been severe accusations made by an employee against the 50-year-old British team boss in relation to a certain incident. The exact nature of these allegations remains unclear, although there have been vague references to an “inappropriate behavior”. The Austrian-British racing team has confirmed the ongoing investigation.
The Telegraph has shared a statement from Red Bull in relation to the matter which reads: “In light of the recent allegations that have surfaced, the company has decided to initiate an independent investigation. The investigation, which is already in progress, is being conducted by an external specialist lawyer. The company takes these kinds of issues very seriously and is committed to ensuring the investigation is concluded as swiftly as possible.”
The reigning world champion team has stated that any further comments on this matter would be inappropriate at this time. As of now, it is not known exactly when the alleged incident took place. Horner, who has reportedly denied all the allegations, is considered innocent until proven otherwise.
