Rashmika Mandanna Expresses Gratitude to Amitabh Bachchan for Condemning Deepfake Video

New Delhi: Rashmika Mandanna, the popular actress, extended her thanks to veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan for speaking out against the viral deepfake video featuring her. She expressed her concerns over the misuse of technology and appreciated Bachchan for “standing up” for her. Mandanna took to X (previously known as Twitter) to share her gratitude, stating, “Thank you for standing up for me sir, I feel safe in a country with leaders like you.” Bachchan, who had called for legal action against the video, responded on X, saying, “Yes, this is a strong case for legal action.”

In response to the deepfake video, Rashmika Mandanna released a statement on Monday, expressing her distress over the misuse of technology. She shared, “I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly extremely scary not only for me but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused.” She emphasized the need to address this issue urgently as a community to prevent further harm.

Rashmika Mandanna is renowned for her exceptional performances in movies like “Geetha Govindam,” “Dear Comrade,” “Kirik Party,” “Chamak,” “Anjani Putra,” “Sita Ramam, Varisu,” and “Sarileru Neekevvaru.” She gained immense popularity after her role in the 2021 hit film “Pushpa: The Rise,” alongside Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil.

Mandanna made her Bollywood debut with the film “Goodbye” last year and also appeared in the espionage drama “Mission Majnu” with Sidharth Malhotra this year. She is set to star alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Animal,” featuring Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. Additionally, she will be seen in “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” opposite Allu Arjun.
