Suryakumar Yadav’s Epic ‘Stat Check’ Reaction After Dominant Win Over Australia in 1st T20I Leaves Fans Saying ‘Are Baap Re’. Watch the Video Now!

India skipper Suryakumar Yadav showcased his brilliance during the first T20I against Australia in Visakhapatnam. Yadav’s impressive knock of 80 runs off just 42 balls, accompanied by Rinku Singh’s unbeaten cameo, helped India chase down their highest-ever T20 total of 209 runs. With a captaincy debut to remember, Yadav smashed nine fours and four sixes, guiding India to a thrilling victory with two wickets and one ball to spare. This win gave India a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

In a candid conversation with the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Yadav was asked about his final score in the match. His response was epic as he exclaimed, “Are baap re,” with a sweet smile on his face.

The nail-biting chase saw India needing seven runs off the last over. However, they lost three successive wickets, including two run-outs on the fourth and fifth balls. But Rinku Singh, known for his chase-master abilities, led India to victory after Sean Abbott bowled a no-ball. Singh, a left-handed batsman, scored 22 runs off 14 balls, hitting a six that wasn’t counted due to the no-ball. This boundary took India past their previous best chase of 208 runs against the West Indies in 2019.

Expressing his satisfaction, Yadav praised the team’s talent and resilience under pressure. He said, “Very happy with the way the boys displayed their talent on the field. We were put under pressure, but the way everyone came back into the game was great.” Regarding his leadership role, Yadav stated, “I think it’s a proud moment. Whenever you play cricket, you dream of representing India. It will take some time to sink in, but I am very proud.”

Yadav’s partnership of 112 runs for the third wicket with Ishan Kishan, who scored a quickfire 58 off 39 balls, proved crucial after the early dismissal of the openers. The match took place just four days after Australia’s triumph in the ODI World Cup final against India.

Australia’s innings saw Josh Inglis shine with an incredible knock of 110 runs off 50 balls, his first international century. This propelled Australia to a formidable total of 208-3 after choosing to bat first on a pitch favoring the batsmen.

The Indian team’s remarkable performance was a testament to their skill and determination. With this victory, they have set the tone for the remaining matches in the series.
