Ukrainian Navy confirms absence of Russian ships in the Black Sea

According to Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk, stormy weather conditions have prevented Russia from deploying its warships in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. Pletenchuk made this statement during a national television interview on November 19, 2023. He confirmed that as of 07:30 that day, there were no enemy ships present in either the Black Sea or the Sea of Azov.

Pletenchuk also provided additional information, stating that currently, two Russian ships could be found in the Mediterranean, one of which is a Kalibr cruise missile carrier armed with eight missiles. In the last 24 hours, four ships have crossed the Kerch Strait into the Sea of Azov, with two of them sailing from the Bosporus. However, no vessels have crossed into the Black Sea.

In previous reports from the Ukrainian Navy, one enemy ship was recorded in the Black/Azov sea region on November 18, with three enemy ships recorded on November 17. This is a significant decrease compared to November 8 when nine enemy ships were present in both seas, and one in the Mediterranean.
