The evening was marked by the quadruple coronation of Zaho de Sagazan, who was nominated in five categories and rap took the lion’s share with the victories of Gazo, Damso, Yamê and Aya Nakamura.

Zaho de Sagazan and urban music took the spotlight at this year’s Victoires de la Musique. Sagazan was nominated in five categories and won four victories, including album of the year. Rap music, often overlooked, claimed major awards in this edition, with victories going to Gazo, Aya Nakamura, Shay, and Damso.

Male artists: Gazo and Vianney

Rapper Gazo and Vianney shared the prize for male artist of the year. Vianney used this opportunity to congratulate the other nominees and express his gratitude to his label.

Female Artist : Aya Nakamura

Aya Nakamura, one of the most listened to artists worldwide and a symbol of this year’s ceremony, took home her Victoire de la Musique award. In 2022, she received the award for the most streamed album of the year.

Damso’s “QALF Tour” won the concert of the year award. He is one of the rare rappers to have been nominated for the Victoires de la Musique.

For her first nomination for the Victoires de la Musique, Shay won the prize for audiovisual creation for her single “Commando”.

Male revelation: Yamê

Yamê, the Franco-Cameroonian singer, won the prize for Male Revelation of the Year, thanks to his hit “Bike”.

Female revelation: Zaho de Sagazan

Zaho de Sagazan, the 24-year-old prodigy, won the Female Revelation Victory. She dedicated her victory to those who aim to do good in the world.
