“Undeserved Outcome,” Claims Report

Thomas Tuchel, head coach of FC Bayern, provided his thoughts about their recent loss during an interview with Dazn: He expressed his dissatisfaction with the result, stating, “I don’t believe that today’s defeat was a fair one. A considerable amount of circumstances played against us. We created several excellent opportunities, around four, five, or six, and we had control over the game for the majority of the time. However, we fell behind unexpectedly. The character of this defeat feels different from the previous ones. I don’t think we deserved to lose today.”

He further emphasized on the manner of the game, stating, “The ‘how’ is crucial and in my opinion, the ‘how’ was okay today. We were extremely unfortunate, which makes today’s 90 minutes different from the second half at Lazio and also from parts of the match against Leverkusen. It seemed like Murphy’s Law was in full effect today – whatever could have gone wrong, did go wrong.”

Leon Goretzka, a player for FC Bayern, also shared his thoughts on Dazn: He compared the team’s current situation to a relentless horror film, saying, “It feels like we’re stuck in a horror film that doesn’t seem to end. At the end of the day, we are undone by our own individual mistakes – and sadly, we are making way too many of them. At this point, I believe we need to introspect and question everything.”

Jan-Christian Dreesen, the CEO of FC Bayern, weighed in on the situation: He expressed his skepticism towards the practice of blindly supporting the coaches, stating, “I don’t believe in these exaggerated declarations of support for coaches. I understand what people want to hear, but these so-called oaths of loyalty often lose their meaning after a week. That’s why I prefer to express myself in my own way. This is not an issue at the moment. Let’s focus on what’s important. We need to concentrate on the upcoming games.”

When asked whether Tuchel would be on the bench for the upcoming match against Leipzig on Saturday, he confidently responded, “Of course.”
